About the Artist
Priscila Schott, originally from São Paulo, Brazil, is a Miami-based visual artist and sculptor.Following her graduation with a degree in Business Administration, she ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding a tech company. Subsequently, redirecting her focus, she found her true passion: art. Schott's experiences of living in various cities such as Brazil, Nassau, andNew York, infuses her artwork with a global perspective. Her paintings serve as reflections of the myriad cultures and situations she has encountered, enriched by the sense of displacement that characterizes her experiences.
As a self-taught artist, Schott further her skills through art classes at the MoMA and various studios in Tarrytown and Hartsdale, NY. Influenced by renowned artists such as Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Barnett Newman, Lygia Clark, and Ellsworth Kelly, Schott's creative process is marked by diversity and constant transformation. Her portfolio encompasses abstract paintings, mixed-media, and collage, with recent explorations into the realm of geometric abstraction, focusing on the interplay of colors and materials.
